Hire Stranger, formed in October of 2025, is a therapeutic alternative rock band based in Seattle Washington. The band uses themes of depression, perseverance, joy, and longing into emotionally honest songs with a coy lyrical twist. Hire Stranger consists of Spencer Myles on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Wyatt Longley on drums and backing vocals, Zander Nevitt on lead guitar and backing vocals, and Jay Murray on bass.
